Hello Sir / Ma’am,
May name is Avanti Saswade. I am resident of Pune. On February 23, 2017 I received a call from a company named Dealzhub which is an online shopping portal. The representative named Rajiv Malhotra had a word with me an convinced me about the contest that they were undertaking for the promotion of their company. He told me that as per their records they have found that I am a regular online shopping customer and have been selected for the “Government approved Lucky Draw Contest”. He asked me to pay INR 1699/- and register myself for the contest. Further he mentioned that once I register myself for the content I will first receive a welcome gift within 4 days along with the scratch card that will include code for electronic item worth rupees 50,000/- He also asked me for my preference for the electronic item that I would like to have. When I mentioned I want an 32 inces Sony Bravia LED he confirmed me that that will be delivered to me within 8 days.
Post this I was required to take continuous follow ups with the company as there was no update from them regarding the Welcome Gift nor the Scratch card.
When I asked them for the refund of the amount, Mr. Gulati another representative mentioned that we cannot refund the amount. He was further asking me to pay INR 30,000/- as I was selected as their first lucky draw customer and have won an “HONDA AMAZE CAR”. Thankfully I didn’t agree for it and did not pay them another 30,000/-
Meanwhile I also raised an complaint on the consumerhelpline.gov.in
Finally I received the welcome gift in the last week of March but there was not Scratch card in that. Mr. Rajiv was calling me and requesting me to take back the complaint as promised me that I will receive the scratch card that will include the code for LED.
Again I had to wait for another 15 days. I received the scratch card on April 10, 2017 but the code mentione din the crad was for “Upto 70% Discount on promotional code”.
Now when I called them up Mr. Rajiv is not ready to talk to me, his colleague name Mr. Pavan called me up and said that we its not in our hand and I will have to accept whatever I have received.
When I told them that you people are now forcing me to take legal action against you he said that “Aapko jo karna hai wo karo”
This company is fraud. They are cheating people under the name of Promotion. I dont know how may people have been culprit of this company.
I humbly request you to take strict action against the company so that other people will not fall for such frauds.
I would have let this go but the company kept on giving me false promises so I would request that please ask the company to deliver me the Sony Bravia 32 inches LED which was promised to me.
