Amazon – HDFC Cash-back not received

I have purchased Dell Inspiron 3542 15.6-inch Laptop (Core i3-4005U/4GB/500GB HDD/UBUNTU/Intel HD Graphics 4400)-Black for Rs.23,990.00 sold by Cart2india SLP under Great Indian Festival Offer 2015 from Amazon online during Oct 2015. And Amazon & HDFC offered, 10% or 15% Cash-back, limited to INR 1500/-, as a promotion offer, on HDFC debit/credit cards, so paid through HDFC Credit card.

First of all i received defective Laptop, i.e optical drive was not working & made lot of noise, but still i accepted, since i am using optical drive occasionally, thought of get it repaired after sometime, during warranty period, so i didn’t informed Amazon about defective item delivered.

And recently i.e March 2016, when check for cash-back amount in my card statement, found not credited. Cash back supposed to be added by Dec 2015, but didn’t receive till March 2016, So i have contacted their CSR, multiple times by chat,voice & mail.

Below are detail communication with CSR.

On 12th Mar 2016 – Chat – 04:14 PM IST Amazon: Hello. My name is Saul

I request you to please wait for 24 to 48 hour to research the matter and get you back as we need to check with the bank

On 13th Mar 2016 – Mail – Prashant.R

As the cash-back will be credited by your bank, the investigation is needed to be done with your bank and check where the things went wrong.

I request you to wait for 7 to 10 business days(bank working days) for the update from the team.

I understand asking you to wait will be disappointing. I hope you understand we require this time to investigate and get this issue resolved for you.

On 28th Mar 2016 by Chat – 01:30 PM IST DEEPAK(Amazon)

I check here that your issues is escalated with our concerning department on 13th March and it takes 1-2 weeks to get an update from their side as it will be complete today, so I’d request you to please wait till 24-48 hours to get any update in this.

On 6th Apr 2016 – Telephonic

Since my chat option is disabled in my login, I called CSR and was requested for 3 months bank statement.

On 11th Apr 2016 by mail – from Amazon.in Escalations Team.

forwarded your bank statements to our Promotions team and they’ll be investigating the issue further. I request you to please wait for 2-4 Business Days for an update on this issue.

On 15th Apr 2016 by mail – Abhishek from the Escalations team

As you know that the Cashback is provided by the bank, We have made a high end escalation on it and our internal department is currently working on it

Can’t offer any additional insight or action on this matter.

And in every communication i have been requested to wait for 2 – 4 days as it would happen in next 4 days.

I would like to take some action against Amazon and HDFC, before it become a BIG SCAM, as i can see lot of people discussing same issue in the forum.
