We had booked 5 rooms for 21st Oct and 3 rooms for 22nd Oct in Residency Lake Resort on 27th Sep 2017. We paid the amount due in advance. The email we got from Expedia states the rooms are booked and confirmed.

When we reached the resort on 21st Oct, the hotel denied us rooms saying the hotel is sold out. The hotel had already informed Expedia on 4th Oct about over-booking, but Expedia did not do anything in a timely manner to avoid the inconvenience to its customer.

The holiday of 3 families of which 2 were from Mumbai was ruined and we had to come back dejected.

We now need compensation for our loss of holiday and time.
