Pepperfry — Order delivery delayed and no proper intimation

I have order bathroom fittings and Curtains ( Order No. 302053501, 302051135 ), which are suppose to be delivered 22-Feb and 23-Feb respectively. But I have not received any intimation about why there is a delay. Then called customer care and the guy over phone informed very casually that there is a worker Strike in Bangalore so the items will be delivered after 3 days which is on 26-Feb 2016. This is really weird and absurd. How come such a established Brand in online marketing, creating this type of customer frustration having known that they should stick to the Delivery timelines they are assuring the customers when placing order. And there is no proper intimation or SMS at least or there is no way where i get compensated for this delay . At least the Government should imply more guidelines to the online customers and sellers, so that the big brands like pepper fry cannot take customers for granted and for their money.
