I got a call from Shoppchoice on 3rd Sept. The lady called me said the my number has been selected for an assured gift in the promotional offer done by the company. I ask what is that assured gift and what I need to do for that, she said I just need to buy a product and you will get 1 assured gift out of 3 products. I said ok, I will buy something. I did buy a watch of RS 799 and she said I will get a call from the company Shipping department who will confirm some of my details for the next process within 48 hours. when I got a call it they said I got win a 42″ LED TV. They said I do not need to pay anything for that just wait for the finance department call within 48 hours and they will confirm the next step. the next day I got a call and they said I need to pay the 18% GST amount of cost of TV. I said why would I need to pay for GST, I mean no company does that if I have got win something it is their responsibility to shipped that to me. Then lady said ok you can pay then 12%. then It click on my mind that is it kind of a scam? I said ok I will pay and then lady said I have filled up your form and you will get an email from justdial to pay the amount and your order will be shipped once I pay. the moment I disconnect phone I looked up for the reviews and find my doubt correct. It is a FRAUD company… so I wanted to raise it to everyone who does the online shopping, please do not shop with SHOPPCHOICE.COM as it is fraud.
I request to the authorities to take an appropriate action against these people so that more people can be saved by cheated these guys.
