Respected Sir/Madam,
I wish to bring to your notice a recurring and serious issue regarding TSRTC bus operations at Garrepalli bus stop.
Garrepalli is a regular designated stop where regular, express, and electric buses normally stop. However, over the past few days, it is being observed that several buses are not stopping at Garrepalli, even when they are not fully occupied. At the same time, buses that are already crowded are stopping, while buses with available space are skipping the stop.
This practice has resulted in:
Sudden rush and unsafe crowding when a bus finally stops
Passengers missing buses by a minute and facing 10–15 minutes delays
Serious inconvenience to students, workers, and daily commuters
It is important to note that on routes such as Godavarikhani Road to Karimnagar Bus Stand, even when seats are occupied, there is usually sufficient standing space available. Traditionally and as per common TSRTC practice, passengers are allowed to board and travel standing, and buses are not skipped on the assumption that another bus may come later. In my experience as a regular commuter, such restrictive boarding practices were never followed earlier.
I also overheard conductors discussing about deliberately not picking passengers initially and filling the bus later to balance collections, which is a matter of serious concern if true.
Additionally, the following irregularities are observed:
Express buses stopping at Magdumpur, which is not an authorised express stop
Buses arriving in bunches (2–3 buses within 10–15 seconds), followed by long gaps with no buses
Inaccurate arrival timings and bus details shown in the TSRTC Gamyam app, which do not match actual operations on ground
These issues indicate poor regulation, inconvenience to passengers, and safety concerns due to overcrowding.
I respectfully request TSRTC to:
Ensure that all buses stop at Garrepalli as per schedule
Allow passenger boarding when standing space is available, as per normal practice
Prevent express buses from stopping at unauthorised locations
Regulate bus timings to avoid bus bunching
Improve the accuracy of bus timings and details shown in the TSRTC Gamyam app
I request that this complaint be treated as urgent and necessary corrective action be taken at the earliest.
Thanking you.
Yours sincerely,
G.Harshith
