I purchased a RHS tail lamp for my 2013 Fiat Linea Tjet from 99rpm.com. Product was delivered and when I tried to have it fitted there were severe panel gaps. Also the weight and finish of the replacement product varied from the original. When it rains water drips down into the tail lamp now. As a result I had to have a rubber beading placed temporarily to fill the gap.
Below is my email to customer care. ( [email protected]) and their response to me which is far from acceptable.

I have received the shipment and had it fitted on the car. The spare you have sent seems to be either fake or refurbished or of substandard quality when compared to the original part. There are panel gaps when it is fitted. My car is a 2013 Fiat Linea Tjet. Enclosed are a few pictures of the panel gaps. When it rains water will go inside. I want the part replaced. This is not at all acceptable.
I have checked at multiple service centres to confirm the defective product you have sent. The part also feels lighter and more flimsy than the original.
Kindly do the needful asap.

It is one thing stating facts in a complaint and totally another stating your unfounded fear as judgment. it looks like you chose the later, specifically calling a product fake.
99rpm provide you support to file warranty claim or defect feedback with so that manufacturer whose product you. Please send a fresh email with your complaint on quality of product so that same may be investigated as per its merit.
However, if we find that you persist with whims and blame on 99rpm, we will have to ask you to directly get in touch with manufacturer of product and register your complaint about quality of product along with your fears.

Dear whoever you are,
It would be nice if you left a name and number so that I can speak to you. Email and customer service doesn’t seem to be your forte.
I did state facts and possibilities. Not my fear. You have the audacity to talk nonsense, and be sarcastic when all you had to do was address the issue? what I sent you was based on what some of the best garages in bangalore have said. You want more facts ? All you need to do is weigh the original tail lamp and the one you guys sent. And look at the plastic black casing carefully. Sure, it must be an original spare, but that doesn’t address my concern does it ?
And you say I might have to get in touch with the manufacturer directly ? If you guys are selling a product on your website and collecting money from someone, atleast take responsibility for what you sell. Oh and here’s a little tip: Take an English Grammar course and also one in basic manners.

You are so petty, blame on 99rpm it seems. I don’t care about what your 99rpm is. I bought a spare, it doesn’t fit properly, I had that vetted with experts. Now you can tell me how to go about it. Send you a fresh mail? Take this as the email and as some feedback from someone you have taken money from and have been extremely rude to, start with an apology the next time.

The product value was INR 3572. But the attitude and rudeness of the organization is not tolerable. And I wish to proceed legally against these Frauds. Upon sharing on facebook, twitter and other fiat pages, it has come to light that others also have had such experiences. This has to stop.!
