We bought a LG LED TV at duty free katunayaka. And used for only 3 months and one day when we switched on it there was defect in the picture. We took the TV to close by Bans service centre and they said it’s due to physical damage to the screen and it’s not covered under warranty and it will cost around 60, 000 Ra’s (about 85-90% of original price). With that answer we were shocked and we went to the head office and unfortunately we got the same reply from there also.
Actually we don’t know how that physical damage occurred and we didn’t expect a irresponsible answer from a reputed company .
We are regular customer of Bans (we have LG fridge, microwave, air condition, electrode’s washing machine, Elba 4 burn cooker) and we were not satisfied with there after sales service.
We thought it will be repaired under warranty.
