Sub: Compliant regarding a booking on ‘Air-Arabia’ from Kiev to Kochi.
I booked a confirmed reservation ticket on 08 Nov 2017 on behalf of my son BOBEN JEFF from Kiev- Boryspil airport (KBP) to Kochi (COK) for to travel on 02 Jul 2018 and return on 29 Aug 2018, with PNR No.91429874 on flight G9261&G9425 and G9426 &G9260 respectively. Yesterday on 2nd Jul 2018, he went to KBP airport by 8.30 hrs, to travel to Kochi. This was after travelling 500 km from his institution of study at Odessa, Ukraine. But on reporting at the counter of Air Arabia at the KBP airport at 10.15 hrs the passenger was denied from check-in by saying that the booking was cancelled.
On information, when I contacted the travel agency they ringed up to the local air Arabia office at Ernakulam (Kochi) and got the reply that the flight was cancelled due to the unavailability of carrier. I or my travel agency was not informed about such a cancellation till this time. But I am on the information from the same airport that the flight got operated by a different flight no. G 09261, instead of G 9261. The air Arabia KBP staff had not shown any courtesy to give a ticket in that flight or in the next flights. The passenger is only 20 years of old and he was too much worried as unnecessarily stranded in the airport. Then I tried to get a ticket in any flight on the same date, but was not possible at a fair-rate. Finally we managed to get a ticket on the next day on a different flight (Qatar Airways) at 13:20 to Kochi, arriving on 4th Jul 9:40. That will be his 4th day of this journey, since started from his study location at Odessa (Ukraine) and getting exhausted of money in his hand as spent for the unexpected extra days in the airport.
Till this date I have not been informed about the money refund or anything. I do not know how we will be compensated for the inconvenience and stress caused? It is certain that the air Arabia has shown a total negligence and disregard regarding the booking that had been done well ahead of nearly 8 months.
I request you to do the needful to compensate for the hardship, money and the return ticket on 29 Aug 2018.
