Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to lodge a formal and urgent complaint regarding a serious issue related to a loan account in my name with Dhani Loans and Services Ltd. The matter has caused me continuous harassment for nearly 3 years, and has now negatively impacted my CIBIL credit score, despite my repeated attempts to resolve it.
Background:
In 2022, I had taken a small loan via the Dhani App, which was to be repaid in installments. However, after reviewing the low sanctioned amount and confusing process, I chose not to continue and requested your team to close the loan. At that time, I received a call from your representative who advised me to share an OTP and follow certain steps for the process to be completed. I complied, under the belief that it was part of the official closure.
After the call, the loan amount disappeared from the wallet and I assumed the matter was closed. Since then, I stopped using the app completely.
However, I have continued to receive frequent and harassing recovery calls demanding a repayment of around ₹1000–₹2500. I believe this is completely unjustified, as I did not use the sanctioned amount after requesting closure, and your agent assured me that the account was clear.
Recently, I have also been notified by my bank that a negative remark from Dhani has appeared on my CIBIL report, which is seriously affecting my credit profile and financial opportunities.
Incident on 27th June 2025]:
Yesterday, I again received a call from one of your representatives. I asked how this balance had been created despite my request for closure and the prior deduction of funds. The caller responded vaguely, said they would “check and inform,” and then disconnected the call without resolution. This is extremely unprofessional and adds to the distress I have faced.
Important Clarification:
I would also like to point out that if your company has the data to show an outstanding balance for 3 years, then you must also have the call records or logs of the agent who contacted me at that time, guided me through the OTP process, and gave verbal assurance that my account was cleared. If this interaction was recorded, it should be reviewed as part of your investigation.
I feel misled and harassed, and hold your organization responsible for this mismanagement and false reporting to credit agencies.

Therefore, I demand the following actions immediately:
1. A full investigation into my Dhani loan account from 2022 onwards.
2. Immediate clarification and closure of the falsely reported outstanding balance.
3. Removal of the negative remark from my CIBIL report on an urgent basis.
4. Written assurance that no further recovery calls will be made against me.
5. Identification of the agent who misled me and caused this issue.
If I do not receive a proper and satisfactory resolution within 15 working days, I will be compelled to escalate this matter to:
• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Ombudsman,
• The Consumer Court, and
• The Credit Bureau (CIBIL),
along with seeking legal advice for harassment and defamation of my creditworthiness.
Please treat this complaint as urgent and high priority.
