A member from ELYS reached out to me via WhatsApp and asked if I was interested in a part time job. After doing some research and seeing that it is a legal company I agreed and then was taken into a telegram group where I was asked to do tasks.
The first few tasks involved watching YouTube videos where I had to subscribe and like the video and got commissions for it.
But the next day I was taken into a group with 4 members and a mentor where I was asked to do “High quality joint task”.
I was given 3 tasks where each time I had to invest huge amounts of money and the mentor had clearly mentioned that whether I win or lose I can withdraw the amount at the end of the task.
But when I tried to withdraw they sent me a notice saying that I took too much time to complete the task and hence I am not allowed to withdraw unless I pay more money! But the other 3 members with me were able to withdraw with no problem which makes me wonder if they were fake people.
I did not agree to pay more as they were clearly making up nonsense reasons and were asking for more money. I even asked them to deduct my commissions and allow me to withdraw just the amount I had transferred as it is a huge amount but they keep saying to recharge and redo task to withdraw.
It is very irritating as their agreement policy clearly mentions that we can withdraw when we want.
I kindly request any and all authorities to look into this matter and help me retrieve the money that is locked in their website and block their website from causing anymore fraud and scams in India.
The amount locked is 98,970.80.
