Dear respected madam,
I traveled by Ethiopian airlines from Jeddah to Mumbai via Addis ababa. My check in baggage was lost due to negligence on part of airlines, on the day i arrived Mumbai airport on 24th June 2017, there was mass baggage lost due to the negligence & inefficiencies of the check in counter staffs -jeddah/Addis Ababa & baggage handling staffs, Mumbai also. After doing all the formalities i along with several passengers left Mumbai intl airport. When complained several times on not receiving my 2 bags of 39kgs, weighting in all, i got 1 bag in very dilapidated condition which was of 17 kg.
the main bag was not traced & got lost as it was of my main NEW bag weighting 22kgs, containing within all the valuables items i had purchased during my foreign trip.
REQUEST THAT , THESE CONCERN STAFFS SHOULD BE TAKEN TO TASK BY THE CONCERN AUTHORITIES FOR THE SAME, REGARDING THE NEGLIGENCE ON THEIR PART,IRRELEVANT HARASSMENT & MENTLE AGONY TO PASSENGERS, & CREATING UNNNECESSARY EXTRA BAGGAGE RECEIPT ISSUE TO MESS UP THE PROBLEM SO THAT THE COMPENSATION AMOUNT IS DECREASED & LESSENED.
I received only 1 BAG WHICH WEIGHTED 17KGS, OF THE TOTAL 2 BAGS i DEPOSITED AT THE CHECK IN COUNTER AT JEDDAH KAIA.,on 23rd June 2017, BUT TO MY SURPRISE it was marked as 27 kg on rush tag by hand, at the time of delivery, at my home, late EID night around 2 am when i was tiresome asleep. Its a willful error of omission on part of Ethiopian airlines baggage handling staff and they shortened my actual compensation claim given to me $20 x13 kg (lost bag weight according to Ethiopian airlines, came to be $260 where as i should be received $180 more as my lost bag was 22kgs when i deposited it at the check in counter jeddah KAIA.
I REQUEST THE FORUM TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER AS SEVERAL EMAILS & PHONE CALLS, WHICH TOTAL AB HUNDRED, HAD BEEN ON DEAF EARS.
I REQUEST FOR FAIR & JUST COMPENSATION ALONG WITH THE COMPENSATION FOR MENTAL AGONY & HARASSMENT’S AT THE HANDS OF THE ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES TO GET MY LOST BAGGAGE’S & COMPENSATIONS.
