Back in September 2022, I received a call from the fictitious Grand Vivanta (now Grand Amanta), which claimed to have obtained my contact information from MG Motors as a result of a purchase I had made with MG.
I was invited to attend their event at the Chennai Radission hotel.
When I went to see them, they told me about the various packages and that they would be offering a premium package that would let me reserve five days and four nights in 4 or 5-star hotels both domestically and abroad.
As a welcome gift, they also gave me a four-day, three-night stay in the Maldives along with round-trip airfare for two.
I paid 3.3 lacs for a 25-year package, plus Rs. 6999 as a renewal fee, believing all of this to be true.
Later, when I attempted to make a booking through the package, I began experiencing terrible customer service. They hardly ever responded to my emails, and the relationship manager, Kanika, is among the worst people I have ever met, showing absolutely no professionalism to the clients.
I have no way of knowing the status of my booking unless their customer service replies to my email after they changed the name of their business and promised to launch a mobile app.
I requested cancellation and a refund of my package because I was so dissatisfied with the service I had been receiving, and Kanika stopped returning my calls and responding to my emails as a result.
This company appears to be operating a scam in various cities, luring victims with offers that resemble Club Mahindra packages but in reality offering poor service.
Please direct me and assist me in getting my money back. I will also be emailing the ministry of corporate affairs to draw attention to the pathetic service these people offer and the ways in which they defraud people.
Any advice or ideas are greatly appreciated.
