I am writing regarding the pending salary of a teacher who previously worked at Kidzee Rupnagar, Guwahati.
The salary is normally credited on the 15th of every month. However, the salary for the last month has still not been credited, even though the work for that entire month was completed before leaving the institution.
It is important to highlight a few serious concerns:
– The monthly salary provided is only ₹4,000, which itself makes it extremely difficult to manage basic living expenses.
– Despite the low salary, during school functions or events, teachers are often expected to contribute from their own salary for food and other arrangements.
– At the time of joining, there was no proper documentation regarding salary structure or employment terms. Only a joining letter was provided.
– Salaries are issued through cheques, and if required, bank statements can be provided as proof regarding the pending payment.
– Apart from the financial issues, there have also been instances of unprofessional behaviour, insults, and harassment faced by teachers.
Teachers dedicate their time and effort to educating and shaping young children. The least they deserve is timely payment of their salary and a respectful working environment.
The pending salary should be cleared immediately since the work for that month has already been completed. If there is any issue regarding the payment, a clear explanation should be provided.
