SUBJECT:- ONLINE FRAUD BY LIBERTY TRAVELS REGISTERED WITH SULEKHA PORTAL
Dear sir,
Myself, Krishnakant Sharma working as a Factory Manager at ENCORE Natural Polymers Pvt. Ltd. 227/233, Phase – 4, Naroda GIDC, Naroda, Ahmedabad – 382330, Gujarat (India),
would like to inform you that I have become a victim of Online Fraud of Air Ticket booking done by M/s Liberty Travels whose owner is registered as Mr. Rohit Kumar.
Incident in detail is narrated as below.
My Son had to travel Chicago for his further studies, in this context we had contacted Mr. Rohit Kumar (M/s Liberty Travels) through an online platform on 28-7-2017 for booking Air Ticket from Ahmedabad to Chicago. Mr. Rohit Kumar booked the Air Ticket with Ref No: JLDKBG (Etihad Airways) & Flight No: EY 0227, AA 9075 the copy of which was sent to us through mail id: [email protected] against which I had deposited Rs. 56,150/- (INR) vide Chq No: 000041, Dated: 28-7-2017 of Bank of Baroda in A/c No: 023501556743 in the name of Mr. Rohit Kumar. On 10-8-2017 I went to Sardar Vallabbhai Patel International Airport for inquiry of Luggage where I came to know through the Airport authority that the system does not contain any booking against Ref No: JLDKBG. I immediately contacted Mr. Rohit Kumar for which he assured me that ticket will get confirmed by evening 4:00 pm, but still after waiting till 4:00 pm when the ticket did not get confirmed I contacted Mr. Rohit Kumar but he did not answer my calls & Just kept on giving the assurance through messages that ticket will get confirmed . As it was much needed to send my Son, so i booked another ticket on my own & kept on trying contacting Mr. Rohit Kumar for refund of my ticket but he did not answer my calls. So I started sending him messages through Whatsapp asking for refund of my ticket on which every time he replied that today it will be done, tomorrow it will be done but all his commitments were fake. At last after much requests when I did not get my refund I lodged a complaint to PSO – Naroda Police Station, Naroda, Ahmedabad on 14-8-2017. But still the complaint has not been resolved. Through reliable sources I came to know that M/s Liberty Travels is registered on a website:- https://www.sulekha.com/ with a Fake Address & Contact details. Hence I lodged a complaint to SULEKHA regarding the fraud done by M/s Liberty Travels who is registered as a Travel Agent in their database. It is very disappointing that without proper verification & authenticity SULEKHA had allowed M/s Liberty Travels to get registered on it’s website due to which this fraud took place. There is a possibility that not only M/s Liberty Travels but some other agents may also have got registered themselves on SULEKHA, JUST DIAL etc & may be indulged into fraudulent activities & not only me but some other persons may have also become the victims of frauds. We request you to take strict actions against such websites, so that government can have control over such kind of frauds.
Lastly I would request you to resolve my complaint at the very earliest & also I get my refund as early as possible. Also further I would request you to punish Mr. Rohit Kumar (M/s Liberty Travels) for the offence done by him / his agency as per the act of IPC (Indian Penal Code). For your ready reference I have provided all the necessary enclosures which may be helpful to you for deriving the results.
