Dear Sir Madam,
My name is Mehul Shah and I registered on shine.com on 9th April 2022 where in Mr.Sumit explained about the paid services of shine.com with a nominal price of INR 3292/-.
Initially I showed little interest but seeing my options running out and a lot of convincing by Sumit and his high claims of providing a very high paying job and other services like resume building and personal relationship manager I gave in and made the payment.
Sumit promised that I do not have make any other payments for the services and I will get a very high paying job in 2 weeks. So I paid INR 3373/- (with GST) and then he told me that your personal relationship manager will call you within 20 minutes.
But the call came after 2 hours. The personal relationship manager Mr. Rohit will call me again to find out more about my profile and find a job matching my profile. Next day on 11th April at around 3 pm, Rohit called me and we had a discussion about my job preferences, salary, location etc.
He told me that in order to get your dream job I would have to avail 2 more services costing INR 5320/ and INR 9792/-. He guaranteed life time services and a very high paying job immediately.
So, with a lot hesitance and apprehension and after a lot of discussion and arguments, I made the 2 payments. After this he told me that I will have to pay for the 4th service otherwise the top 3 services and the money will be forfeited as shine.
com does not have a refund policy.
I realized that I was caught in his trap but had no other option so very reluctantly I swiped the credit card for the 4th time even though I had no money. The amount was INR 16383/-.
Then again he used his words to sell one more service which costed INR 24779/-. This time I had no money and disconnected the call after heated argument and lot of bad words and aggressive tone used by Rohit.
Below is the summary of payments made to shine.com –
1. INR 3373/- Paid services of shine
2. INR 5320/- Job profile verification plus package
3. INR 9792/- Education and job experience verification
4. INR 16383/- Senior level resume writing and professional summary
5. INR 24779/- Jobs on the move (which I did not pay)
The total amount paid is INR 34870/-. I am a service class employee and INR 35000/ (approx.) is a very big amount of money which I cannot afford to lose at any cost. My mother is 65 years old and I have a 2.5 year old daughter.
I am the sole breadwinner for my family of 4 people. Please help me get the full amount refund as I do not want any of their services. I hope you understand my plight and reverse the charges at the earliest for which I will be highly obliged and ever grateful.
