On November 19, 2022, I made a reservation for unit B1-2151 through Sobha Sentosa and paid a nominal advance of Rs. 1,000,000.
I was persuaded by the CRM that if I paid a small portion of the booking fee and changed my mind, the money would be fully refunded. The base price was roughly 1.52 crores.
The following day, we confirmed to the CRM that we were unable to purchase the property due to financial limitations and that we required a refund. Since then, we have been informed that the check will arrive today or tomorrow along with a variety of excuses. The CRM no longer issues refunds. They were just making up excuses to waste our time. They initially claimed that I should have returned after 45 days. They claimed to be handling the refund. Then it was stated that the finance team needed some time.
It is extremely disappointing that a well-known builder like Shoba has started defrauding clients as well. When I first visited, they persuaded me to buy this apartment and pay the small fee, promising to refund me if I changed my mind. Never, ever believe the builders. Please ask for help with this.
