I am writing to file a formal complaint against an online retailer, Unboxify, for selling defective products and providing inadequate customer service, which I believe violates consumer rights.
On 30th October, I purchased Apple AirPods Pro from Unboxify’s website. Upon receiving the product, I discovered that the AirPods were defective and would not charge. I immediately reported this issue to Unboxify via their customer support channel on WhatsApp. Instead of providing a satisfactory resolution, they dismissed my concern, suggesting the problem was merely a “technical issue” and not a defect, which is a clear misrepresentation.
Following their advice, and at significant personal inconvenience, I traveled 200 kilometers to the nearest Apple Service Center, only to learn that the product was out of warranty and ineligible for repair or replacement. This information was not disclosed at the time of purchase, which is misleading and unacceptable.
I have attempted to contact Unboxify multiple times over the past fifteen days for a resolution, including requests for a refund or a replacement, but my efforts have been met with complete silence. There is no contact number provided by Unboxify, and my emails have gone unanswered, leading me to question the legitimacy and ethical practices of the business.
This experience has caused me considerable distress and inconvenience, not to mention the financial loss. I believe that Unboxify has failed to comply with basic consumer rights and ethical business practices.
Therefore, I am seeking your intervention in this matter. I request that Unboxify be investigated for their business practices, and appropriate actions be taken against them for the grievances caused. Additionally, I seek assistance in obtaining a full refund for the defective product.
Enclosed are copies of all correspondence with Unboxify, the purchase receipt, and any other relevant documents.
