Subject: Complaint Regarding Wrong Delivery, Payment Issue, and Possible Data Misuse
Description of the Incident:
I placed an order through the Meesho app, and according to my order tracking, the assigned courier partner was Valmo. However, before Valmo could deliver the order, a different courier partner named Shadowfax came to my address and delivered a package.
The package I received from Shadowfax was tampered — it contained torn jeans, a kurti, and other items that I had not ordered. Shadowfax also collected my payment for this package.
Today, Valmo again came to deliver the actual order, which raises a serious concern:
*) How did Shadowfax, which was not assigned to my order in the Meesho app, obtain my personal details (name, address, and contact information)?
*)This suggests a possible misuse of customer data or a scam in which third parties are accessing Meesho users’ information without authorization.
Main Concerns:
1) My personal data (address, name, contact) seems to have been accessed and misused by a courier partner or third party not linked to my order in the app.
2) I paid Shadowfax for a product I did not order and received a tampered package.
3) The same order is now being delivered again by the originally assigned courier partner (Valmo), which shows a clear gap in security and order tracking.
4) There seems to be no proper security mechanism in place to prevent unauthorized parties from accessing customer details.
Request for Action:
1) Investigate how Shadowfax obtained my order details and personal address when they were not assigned as the delivery partner.
2)Take strict action against the individuals/parties responsible for this breach.
3)Initiate a refund for the amount paid to Shadowfax for the wrong delivery.
4)Ensure that such misuse of user data does not happen again by strengthening security and privacy measures.
