On September 4, 2023, at 8 o’clock, I received a call from someone posing as an axis bank customer care representative asking me to download an app to redeem credit card reward points. At 9.30 o’clock, MY AXIS BANK FLIPCART CREDIT CARD WAS DUPED FOR 1.62 LACES IN FRONT OF MY EYES WITHOUT MY SHAREING ANY OTP WITH ANYONE. The scammer hacked MY PHONE.
I called everyone I knew at Axis Bank right away, including my relationship manager, but they said they couldn’t help and advised me to call the 1800 number on the back of the credit card instead. at the time I called.
The automated message wasted my valuable time before stating that phone banking representatives are only available from 8am to 8pm. Despite this, I managed to block my card right away.
I submitted a complaint via service request with the number SAK00001928776, and the response was extremely disappointing.
In complete contrast to the easily searchable online Axis Bank Handling Manual for Credit Card Fraud, I immediately blocked my credit card and filed a complaint, so I am not responsible for any fraudulent credit card transactions. However, the response states that because the transaction used an OTP, I am responsible for the loss and will be subject to additional interest if I don’t pay.
