On April 7, I inquired about Club Mahindra membership; the same day, a company representative came to our house and signed us up for their four-year, lakh-dollar package. On April 14, I sent an email requesting cancellation of the membership because we anticipated not being able to use the service. Today is May 8 and their retention team has called me twice in an effort to understand why I want to cancel, but the process is taking far too long.
The usual TAT for money refunds is 90 days! If the business is going to keep our money for 90 days, shouldn’t we get interest? The last representative I spoke to assured me that everything would be processed in just 2 or 3 days and that I wouldn’t need to do anything further. I have been waiting for news of my money being refunded ever since this happened last week. The request has been taken, but the process takes 90 days, an agent named Ayesha confirmed when I called their customer service today after several failed attempts to reach her. This is forbidden. To avoid paying interest for using customers’ money as working capital, please change your refund policy.
