Subject: Items missing in Consignment # 4338512

This is with great disappointment and frustration I am writing to you to seek a resolution for the issues I have faced with DRS.
Until there was a positive response from my side, there were regular calls made from DRS to confirm the business. On 28th August, the guys came to my place to pack the household stuffs for transfer. They took a cheque from me for the agreed amount dated same day and that got cleared the very next day. I agreed on this deal on one condition that I would need the goods on Saturday that is 31st August and DRS agreed to every clause asked.
There were 6 boxes, 1 bicycle, 1 rice bag and 1 utensils rack. I was leaving Bangalore for good and relocating to Pondicherry and was assured by DRS that my goods will reach on time and intact and that there were regular services from Bangalore to Pondicherry.
I left Bangalore on the 31st August and called the DRS number to check the status of my consignment and was shocked to hear that it has not left Bangalore. Finally I got my goods on 3rd September. I am not sure where my goods were for these 5 days.
The DRS Pondicherry guys arrived at a time where no elderly people were available for inspection and they were not ready to wait until I am back from Office. It was under the trust on the name DRS that I agreed that they can deliver the packages in the presence of my younger sister.
Once I reached home and checked the package, I was shocked to find the below items missing from the boxes.
1. Logitech speakers z313 worth Rs – 3000/-
2. Imported dining plates. Set of 6 worth Rs – 2500/-
3. A set of 6 big Head and Shoulders Shampoo bottles worth Rs – 1000/-
4. A few antique handicraft pieces which are very expensive.
5. Not sure what else has gone missing
Now I have been calling and following up with the DRS folks in Bangalore and they say that they are not responsible.
Does that mean that the person who books the consignment is supposed to travel with the goods to ensure no one tampers with it? The only goodwill you guys have in market is the trust that the goods will be safe.
At this stage, I am really frustrated about these issues and the way people have been neglecting my follow ups. I would appreciate if this is looked into and a resolution is provided to me as it has been close to 3 weeks that I have been wasting my time, money and mental health talking to your guys.
Sincerely,
Abdul Rashid
