Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Fraudulent Shein Online Part-Time Job Tasks
Dear Shein Customer Support,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding a fraudulent experience I encountered while participating in what was advertised as a Shein online part-time job task system. I initially believed this to be a legitimate opportunity, but it quickly turned into a situation that I strongly suspect is a scam, and I request your immediate attention to investigate the matter.
The Task Process:
I was presented with the following instructions at the start of the task:
“The merchant has assigned 4 orders to you, each containing 4 items, totaling 16 items. The system occasionally sends out high commission lucky products randomly. Completing the lucky project will earn you a lucky bonus. You can only withdraw funds after all orders are completed. All processes are automated. Initial orders cannot be changed or canceled, and each order must be completed within one hour. If you agree, let’s get started.”
Based on this, I agreed to proceed.
The Fraudulent Process:
Things proceeded normally until I received a message that said:
“After completing this project, the system will automatically settle, and your platform balance will reach R34,000+. Current balance: R785.00. Product price: R15,700.00. Product commission: R5,495.00. Now you need to top up R14,915 to your platform account to complete the order. After completion, the system will settle your order and give you an additional R5,000 bonus.”
Despite my hesitation, I paid the R14,915 as requested, expecting to receive the promised commission and balance settlement. However, after completing this transaction, I was asked to make further top-ups. I was then informed I had to deposit additional large sums, including another R28,944 and then R37,711, to complete further orders. The amounts demanded continued to increase, and I became suspicious that this was a scam.
I am deeply concerned that this process is deliberately designed to exploit users financially by continuously requesting large sums of money under the false promise of earning commissions and rewards. This is an extremely unethical practice, and it appears to be using Shein’s name and reputation to mislead people.
My Requests:
Immediate investigation and suspension of this fraudulent part-time task system.
Full refund of all the money I have already deposited, totaling R29,915.
Disclosure of how this platform operates and what safety measures Shein has in place to prevent scams of this nature.
If I do not receive a response or satisfactory resolution within the next 7 days, I will be left with no choice but to escalate this matter to consumer protection authorities, report it to law enforcement, and pursue legal action to recover my funds.
I trust that Shein will take this matter seriously and work to protect its users from such fraudulent activities. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
