Had booked ticket in Shatabdi Tarain no. 120010 from Ahmedabad to Mumbai central and opted boarding at Bharuch under PNR no. 8700252046. Paid dynamic fair Rs.1280/- .I wanted to change the boarding from Vadodara instead of Bharuch on 19.12.2017 , a day before date of travelling,but could not do it online as nothing was there to change although option was there.I thought that I have paid full fare from Ahmedabad to Mumbai central so I can board the train in Vadodara which is just once station before Bharuch and I did so and sat on my seat no. 5 in coach no. 14, which was vacant.
I was seating on my seat then TTE came and asked me to pay Rs.805/- towards additional fare from Bharuch to Vadodara (Rs.450/-) ,penalty (Rs.315/-) and GST. when I asked him on what basis you are charging then they said that we can change boarding point only once. But I was not allowed to change the boarding point as I did at the time of booking so how it will be considered as changed. Then I asked him to why you are asking penalty if the ticket is available from Vadodara so you can issue the ticket and take only fare amount from Vadodara to Bharuch but he did not listen.
My points are:
Once we had paid full fare from Ahmedabad to Mumbai central then why we have to pay again.
There is no revenue loss to the railway.
When the seats are available then how come TTE can charge penalty.
I want my money to be given back as I paid additional amount for the service
