Professional parking management charged me for parking that I paid for at the location. When entering the lot the attendant instructed me to use the machine to pay for parking. I went to the machine entered my license plate information and paid to park as instructed. I placed the receipt in my widow for the duration of my stay, which was less than 1 hour. 2 or so weeks later I received a bill in the mail for $90 plus fees for parking and none payment. The initial parking session only cost $10.00. I filled a dispute and submitted the transaction information from my bank showing the $10.00 paid on the date of the event and the company name as PAC CENTER GARAGE LLC. When I submitted this I was told because it does not show my license plate number it is not valid. I disposed of the receipt from the machine 2-3 days after visiting the lot. I have never had such a thing happen in a lot that requires you to enter your license plate to pay. The more ridiculous thing is you charge $90 for a parking instance of less than one hour. I entered the lot at 1:47pm on 12/5 and exited at 2:30pm on 12/5. I was there to get my work badge updated next door. This is highway robbery and the fact that you refuse to take proof of payment and do not provide any aide in your dispute process is horrific. Then on top of this all the dispute process does not stop the time clock. So you file a dispute and wait for a response; then when you go into pay after the dispute is decided not in your favor even though you provided a record of the payment the bill has increased. It’s one thing to say I will just take the loss and pay the fee it’s another to come in and see the fee has now almost doubled because the dispute time did not stop the clock for payment. This is definitely robbery and should be if it’s not already illegal.
