Subject: Extremely unhappy with Airtel

Hi ,

I have applied for a post paid connection ( CUG 399 Plan ) on 4th Oct.

Airtel representative have collected the documents ( Company ID card, PAN card,
Driving license ( Haryana ) ) from my office address ( NTT Data, cyber pearl ,
Hytec city ) and provided me a SIM card with number : 9000821479 .

On Saturday ) 5th Oct , house verification was also done and the airtel
representative have took my sign on few papers and asked me for a local address
proof. I have informed him that I am from Haryana and I have House rent
agreement with me but he informed that it wont work and asked me for any ID
proof for which I provided him my driving license copy.

As the SIM was not activated even after 1 day, I have visisted nearby Airtel
store and they informed me connection was rejected due to address verification
failure.

I was really socked by hearing this from the airtel store person. Does it mean
that only local Andhra peoples can get the SIM cards from Airtel and if that is
the case, could you please let me know this in written so that I can fill a
case in Consumer court.

I have even spoken with airtel customer care but no resolution was provided and
neither any complaint was lodged stating that they cant lodge a complaint as my
number is not active.
