Bata – No refund for defective product

Horrible experience with Bata shoes store and customer service.
Purchased a Bag from A 67/70 Dwarka Sector 7 bata store.
Later found that the bag was defective, one of the zips was faulty.

Next day when we asked the store manager to return the bag, he said that the model was not available, and we have to choose a different bag. When we asked for refund, he refused rudely saying that that was not Bata’s policy.

When i contacted Bata customer service, they said the same thing about No Refunds policy. I asked them to provide me the address of any store in Dwarka where that model was available. The customer care rep informed that the bag was not available in any store in Dwarka.

I then asked the customer care to provide me the date by when the bag would be guranteed to be made available in the bata store. i was told that they cannot give me any date for availability.

Really pathetic and shameful attitude of Bata
Even a local store would give you refund for defective product, never expected this from a brand like Bata
