am writing you this email to inform you about 1 company named as “Crownline international tours & travel co.” i am one of the victim of their scam and fraud and there are several hundred members also they scammed through their holiday package scam campaign under which they have taken hefty amount between 6000-25000/-AED from each member by luring them to avail holiday packages. 1st they called us by telling we have won price in a lucky draw and asked us to collect it in specific hotel, upon visiting in my case they asked me if i am planning to travel in future and as per my plan i am planning to go for umrah to which they trap me and asked to buy package from them which they presented as very attaractive with other benefits of holiday staycation and activities included under this membership . So in 1 shot they asked me to pay 7200/- AED to avail to which i agreed and paid. later on while requesting for services as per contract mentioned they started to show their real face and gave me tough time for every request i make to them. after giving 2-3 cheap activities that too with lot of request and struggle they started denying all my request made to them. since june i am fighting to get either services as committed or my full refund amount and they stopped replying for anything. Then i raised the compliant to “DTCM” (Department of tourism amd commerce) but unfortunately since every complaint i raised with them they told on each complaint that co. agreed to provide services, you can contact them then again i ask them for any request of services to provide they again either denying me or not replying on my request several weeks and never provided me services for which i paid hefty amount of 7200/- AED. And now i want to go for Umrah and all my efforts are going in waste to avail it even raising the complaint and for which actually i have paid the amount.
Its a scam they are running and lot of people are strugling to get either their refund or services to be provided for which the have paid.
i have attached email conversation of my complaint with DTCM and crownline for your understanding how they are fooling us with payment receipt and contract copy attached and several members are put in CC who are victim of their scam. Some of them also complained to DTCM but came empty hands as it seems they also do not bother to check if this company activities are legitimate and consumer rights are well taken care of. it’s a serious issue of consumer rights but however we are feeling helpless due to no action being taken against them. they still operating their activity and fooling other people around dubai. we have gather even at their office and they said on our face- “No one can do anything to them” and we feel shocked and helpless and we called dubai police as well but dubai police said us to raise thecompliant to authority as they cannot do anything on this.
other members also will share you their concern on this mail and we are expecting if this issue can be highlighted to higher authority and strict action can be taken against them. this is our last hope through your esteemed newspaper to get our issue resolved and save other people to get fall into their trap of scam.
