Stay away from DAMAC
On 6th November 2022, They brought me to a presentation about hotel room sales at a four-season hotel. They charged me a reservation fee of 6000 DHS even though I liked the presentation and the location. The salesperson assured me that this was only a reservation and that the money would be returned if I changed my mind about the sale. Then he began to discuss the various advantages of booking a room at their hotel (DAMAC) in downtown Dubai. I had to pay a significant exchange rate because I used my Canadian credit card to pay the reservation fee.
When I returned to Canada, they sent the contract, and believe me when I say that every single piece of information the sales representative provided me with was false and dissimilar from the terms of the actual contract. I decided to request a refund of my reservation fee, and he said yes, go ahead and speak with our finance team. At that point, they informed me that the reservation fee was not refundable.
Watch out for: FALSE INFORMATION.
To make a sale, this company and their sales representative are misrepresenting the property.
