E-bay – defective item received and no return & refund policy

I purchased LAVA XOLO IRIS 2100MAH battery from e-bay but found it to be defective. I tried to file refund/replacement claim for the product but in vain as there is no such option at e-bay website. I also tried calling them but I did not get any positive response from their side.
