On June 17 2017 I booked refundable return ticket from Bangalore to Mumbai for July 1 2017 for myself PNR TUBXZM (price of 6964). EMT took 6564 and go air took 400 for this refundable ticket). I cancelled the same on June 26 2017. They claimed to refund 6564 – 4950 (go air cancellation charges + EMT charges). Next day I received email that 200 additional amount shall be deducted as convenience charges. I fought with them for 4 days & agreed that 1614/- should be refunded. I called on July 1 2017 to check status, they said they have not processed it yet and asked to wait for 72 hours more. On July 5 2017, still they have not refunded.
1: what is the use of convenience charges? Why such clauses are being allowed?
2: shouldn’t​ they pay entire amount for not giving money in 72 hours as claimed in their tickets and website?
