There is an ongoing case against Expat in RERA Karnataka, to which they have not replied. They are managing to delay their replies because bringing sale of agricultural plots under the ambit of RERA is as yet not a clear decision. However, the courts have directed Maharshtra RERA to first consider and accept all complaints. Any complaint that lies within RERA must be resolved within 120 days. But deciding whether it lies under RERA or not is a thorny issue for agricultural plots.
I urge all people with connections to file complaint against Expat in Maharshtra RERA. I do plan to do this. Remember: A project can be under RERA, not a developer. But if there are sufficient number of complaints against a developer, we can take various POTENTIALLY EFFECTIVE legal moves like move to revoke RERA license, move to stay order on all funds, fast track CRIMINAL cases, even public interest litigation
