I would like to file a complaint regarding a fraud incident that happened to me.
On [date], I went to D-Mart near my house to purchase groceries. I parked my bike in the parking area and proceeded towards the store. At the entrance, one person took my name and phone number. I assumed he was a D-Mart staff member collecting details in case vehicles needed to be moved, so I provided my information.
Immediately afterwards, I received a call from individuals claiming to be from FALA, informing me that my name had been selected for a lucky draw and I had won gift items. They asked me to visit their KR Puram branch along with my family to collect the gifts.
When we visited their office, they received us politely. However, when we asked for the gift items, they insisted that we listen to a presentation about their Holiday Package before receiving them. They explained their package and convinced us to purchase it. They took my credit card and charged ₹1,25,000 without giving me proper time to think or verify.
They promised 10 international trips, 20 day-out packages, and 10 resort stays as part of the package.
After purchasing, when I attempted to book a holiday trip, their behaviour completely changed. They stopped picking my calls, and whenever they answered, they spoke rudely. Finally, I visited their main branch to request a refund. They told me clearly that they would not return my money and asked me to “do whatever you want.”
It is clear that I have been misled, cheated, and financially defrauded. They used false promises, deceptive marketing, and emotional pressure to take money from me.
Therefore, I request you to kindly take necessary action against FALA and help me recover my amount of ₹1,25,000.
