On the 12th of August 2017 I visited Godrej Emerald. Godrej representatives said you can pay by check or by debit-card swipe and we’ll refund you should you desire to cancel for any reason. I paid 3 check and made 1 swipe.

The common understanding between Godrej and several tens of people including me was that checks or swipes would be refunded. For personal genuine reasons, my extended family and I decided not to book property there, and it was immediately communicated to Godrej within 24 hours.

In spite of this, Godrej deposited the 3 checks which luckily I was able to put a stop-payment to. However, they are refusing to refund money paid by debit-card swipe.

Godrej has gone back on its word.
