The Grand Vivanta sales team called me on the afternoon of July 17 and informed me that I had been chosen from Mahindra & Mahindra Motors. Given that I had just recently purchased a vehicle, I assumed this might be the real deal. They asked me to meet them in the evening at “Hilton Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park.” When I arrived, the salesman Mohit approached me and explained their fraud schemes. I got tired of looking through numerous sources to see if this was real or not. I received conflicting responses, so I went ahead and paid 160000 for the holiday plan.
On July 17, 22, I paid INR 160000 for a holiday membership; the payment method was a personal loan, and the EMI was supposed to be for INR 8888.88 (which is interest-free, according to the salesperson). The loan amount, tenure, and EMI were confirmed via SMS from my bank, HDFC, the very next day. Which means the EMI is INR 10057 and the loan amount is 160000 for 18 months. It goes beyond what the salesperson told me.
When I called customer service at the same time, I explained the problem and expressed my concern that it had not been handled properly. Ruba, the customer service representative, promised me that the responsible party would call me back within two hours, but 10 days have passed and I have not heard from them despite numerous follow-up calls and emails. In accordance with their 10-day cancellation policy, I had sent an email to confirm my membership cancellation. Therefore, this email canceling your membership was sent on July 20, 22. and it hasn’t been addressed up until now.
They requested my pro-rata basis bank statement, which I provided, but no one has called to confirm the cancellation as of yet. I call customer service three to four times a day to check on the status. Each time, they promise to call me back right away, but never do. Below is a list of the salespeople who made the heaven on earth promise while promoting their products:Mohit, Sudhir Not that I haven’t attempted to contact these mobile numbers before. They have stopped returning my calls and messages as of the following day.
I have tried calls and sent numerous messages on WhatsApp. No response, though. Message to Others — Do not fall for these people’s deceptive promises, and never give them even a single cent of your income. I’m writing this complaint in the hopes that HDFC Bank will compensate me for the delay from the Grand Vivanta team by returning my money plus interest.
