I purchased a course on 4th of August 2024, costing ₹15000, but decided to change my mind and get a refund shortly after that because of some family emergencies. As there were no terms and conditions mentioned on the payment gateway regarding refund, I decided to mail them and attached all the receipts of payment.
They sent me a terms and conditions of refund sheet and said that the amount is non-refundable. I asked them that where was this mentioned on the site to which they had no answer. They then said that the ₹5000 – used for booking the slots for the special price of ₹15000 – is non refundable as told in the webinar that they conducted of which I also was a part. Although there was no written intimation on the payment page for us accepting that term and condition, I still told them that they can keep ₹5000 but please arrange to refund me my remaining ₹10000.
They started asking me about my family emergencies to which I told that I’ll share till the point it my personal boundaries are not violated and I did. I told them about my sister’s educational fees, travel arrangements for her and my parents and my maternal grandmother’s medical condition. Even after sharing all of this, they told me to share my grandmother’s medical report which I refused to share because of personal space violations.
My point is – they never wrote about the terms and conditions of refund anywhere on the payment site, neither was it mentioned anywhere while purchasing the course about the amount being non-refundable, then why are they not issuing the refund when I requested them? Even after sharing my problems, which technically I wasn’t obliged to share since I was just asking for my refund (that too for ₹10000 out of ₹15000 paid) for not being interested in their course (there wasn’t any mention of the period too after which we can’t opt for refund, still I wrote the refund mail 15 mins after the payment confirmation).
I request you to kindly look into the matter so that I can get my money back at the earliest. This organisation has scammed many people like this and has been doing this scam since the very beginning of defrauding innocent people and sometimes not even responding to their mails.
