Dear Sir

With due respect I wish to inform you that we (3 passengers namely ANSHU SHARMA, SUMAN SHARMA and MANISHA SHARMA) were to travel from Chandigarh to Srinagar on 28.02.2017 through Indigo flight no.6E-477 with PNR No.L55J8L where we were asked to deboard the flight after waiting inside the flight for 1HOUR and were informed that the flight had to be cancelled due to bad weather in Srinagar, and on calling the Indigo helpline we got to know that there was no other flight from indigo to be rescheduled in another 2-3days, because of which the tickets had to be cancelled. The return is said to have been initiated for the departure journey from INDIGO.

But for the return journey as the suitability of time we had booked spice jet flight no.SG-253 with PNR No.L517SV to fly on 01.03.2017.
Now Since we could not reach Srinagar, we, by no chance can board the Spicejet flight for the return. We called the Spicejet helpline and seeked help in cancelling the tickets without cancellation fee as the Departure fights by INDIGO have been cancelled and there was no other option to reach Srinagar, but spicejet people refused to cancel the return ticket without posing penalty amounts and asked us to talk to INDIGO helpdesk since they are not at any fault in cancellation of the initial departure take off flight i.e from Chandigarh to Srinagar.
Sir, If we would have successfully reached the destination, we would definitely have had boarded our return flight.
Thrice, I called up INDIGO helpline and talked to the customer executive and the supervisor even, both of whom showed their inability to help get the return ticket cancelled through Spicejet, rather advised me to give my INDIGO Flight PNR No. to SPICEJET helpdesk and ask for the full refund. On their advise, second time I ranged up the Spicejet helpline who again refused to do the same.
I even mailed my complaints to the customer relations department of both the Airlines alongwith the Nodal Officer and the Appellate Authority of Indigo but all in vein. The complaint number under AIRLINES NATIONAL CONSUMER HELPLINE is 145175 through telephonic conversation.
Sir, I am really being harassed by all this and cant afford to spend my whole day calling both the helplines for seeking help. Also, I cant afford to pay for the huge penalty amount while cancellation when I didn’t deliberately cancel the departure tickets, rather we were forced to do that after cancellation of flights by the airlines. Somebody should take the responsibility to look after the future arrangements if the initial flights get cancelled.
I request your goodself to kindly help me get my full refund for the return journey that will be happening tomorrow i.e on 01.02.2017. I do have faith in you as we earn the money by hardwork and cant let it get wasted through wrong means.
