P/urchased a Jiofi on 17/08/16 and still not activated. Given all the details and proofs at the time of purchasing. The sales man told that it would get activated between 7-15 days. Which they declared only after buying the product. After 15 days they called me on 07/09/26 for finger print scan.
After returning from business tour when visited the store on 11/09/16 they said they need my Adhar card for verification and it was mandatory. Since I didn’t apply for Adhar, I could not provide. Even Government of India says Adhar is not mandatory but for activating a product, sold by them it is a must. Why the hell they didn’t inform me when I made a purchase?. They claim if Adhar card is available then it will take another 3 more days to get activated.
Based on their word I had disconnected the existing connection with BSNL, now all my work suffered from 1st Sep’16. I had to go to other operators for a new data card, to continue my work. When they cann’t do anything as they promise what is the use of high speed connectivity. Their tariff is definitely cheap, didn’t expect their services would be the same.
Like stupid I was marketing and recommending their technology to all my friends and colleagues, most of them laugh at me now.

If not activated in another 3 days, decided to throw it in dust bin and be happy with data card being used, rather than just waiting for a high speed network that never gets connected.
