I would like to file a complaint against Karta Loan regarding an unauthorized loan disbursement and fraudulent recovery practices.
I had come across a loan advertisement from Karta Loan and applied for a loan through their platform. However, without providing any confirmation, complete information, or my explicit consent to the loan terms, an amount of ₹2,100 was credited to my account. I was later informed through the application that I was required to repay ₹3,500 within a period of 7 days.
On the 6th day, I received a message from an unknown number threatening that if I did not repay the loan amount immediately, they would contact my relatives and friends. Due to the pressure and threats, I agreed to repay the amount.
While making the payment, I was unable to pay the full amount at once. The person instructed me to first pay ₹1,400 and then pay the remaining ₹2,100 after 2 minutes. I followed the instructions and paid ₹1,400 and shared all the payment details with him. However, the payment was not reflected in the loan application.
When I asked him about this issue, he asked me to send the payment screenshot, which I did immediately. After sending the screenshot, the person blocked my number and has not responded since.
I believe this is a fraudulent activity and request the concerned authorities to kindly investigate the matter and take appropriate action against Karta Loan for such unethical and threatening practices.
