I ordered a set of earphones purportedly of Bose make. COD. Product sent was a cheap set of ordinary mobile earphones. But that is not all. In an attempt to get a refund, I was told the refund can only be sent to my debit card and I was tricked into providing debit card details and money was taken out fraudulently from my bank account to the tune of Rs. 1000+1999+1999+!999= Rs.6997 plus cost of cheap product Rs.2999 Totaling Rs.9996.
I called the customer service number of Pickrr but there was no response. I got a call back a little later from the same number 6289201171. The person asked me if I was trying to contact customer care and what the problem was and I told him that a cheap set of earphones had been sent against an advertisement of Bose earphones. He apologized and said that the return would be picked up the next day and that they would refund the money immediately. He proceeded to tell me that refunds could only be made to my debit card and tricked me into giving my card/bank details and “forwarding a number that will come on my mobile” thus obtaining OTPs again and again saying it is not working. He tried saying I should give him other bank and debit card details that I hold as it is not working with one bank but fortunately he was able to get only details of one bank and one debit card from me, I was able to detect withdrawals from my bank account and was able to freeze the account and block the card but only after he had made such withdrawals as stated above

  1. Cheap product delivered instead of another that was advertised. Should this case be reported to the Cyber Cell? Looks like they are a real bunch of thieves.
