I posted an ad on Quikr about my 7 seater sofa set with TV , a set top box and 2 tables. Immidiately on posting, I received a call from one of the employees from Quikr names Saurabh saying that he can help me sell the same for 35,000 , but for that I need to pay him 1500. As I had to sell more items, I ended up paying him 2,000 as he asked me to . I made the payment because he made a promise of Quikr and him helping me in the entire sale of my product for 35k or somewhere close. He also mentioned that the entire process will be done in 10-15 days.
After repeatedly asking him if he as a representative of the company will give me assurance of selling the prduct at a price that I was promised , I paid 2,000.
The minute I paid 2,000 , the employee started avoiding and cutting my calls. I tried calling the Quikr helpdesk and they denied any such service and assurance altogether. On top of that , after repeatedly asking for assurance, I got a mail from Quikr saying that I quoted the price a bit high.
First when I quoted a low price , I was told to quote a higher price and was promised complete sale of product in 10-15 days and full assistance.
Then after paying 2,000 , theres denial of any such assistance from the company’s side. The employee starts ignoring calls and cutting them.
Now, Im told that my price is too high.
I was completely fine with the price I had quoted initially. Then why does a company as renowned as Quikr have to resot to lies to extract money.
I was lied to right from the beginning , given promises of a service that in reality the company doesn’t offer , all to just extract a couple of thousands.
I have been trying to call their helpline and the employee who has defaulted but to no avail. They have just cheated , resorted to lies . Later, I also checked their pages, and it turns out, Im not the only one they have defaulted with. That resorting to such unfair practices is their normal course of business.
I request you to please help me escape this harassment and I hope with this complaint , I can atleast save the other customers from getting cheated upon.
