Landlord Harrassment
We had rented an apartment in Andheri West, Mumbai from October 2017 till present. The refundable security deposit was 70,000 (as per rent agreement to be returned whenever either parties terminate the agreement). There was no locking period in the said agreement, and we were facing multiple issues with water and other building related matters, so have decided to leave the premises on 12th March 2018. We gave our landlord the notice for the same one month notice period on February 2018 as per the agreement, and are set to leave the house on 12th March 2018.
The landlord is refusing the return the deposit, asking for a month’s extra rent, brokerage and overall harassing us mentally and trying to threaten us.
