Dear concerned person,
This is is to inform you that on monday (5th july, 2017), I went for shopping in saraf dj (Delma mall). I regularly go to saraf dj every year before going on vacation and do the shopping for around 3-4k dhs.
Sir this time when I went on 5th, I face the most bitter moment with saraf dj and decided to never go back to any of this complaint outlet. After doing the shopping when I gave the credit card for the payment to the cashier (Ms jessica/phillipino lady) she was very rude, as I hold a standard chartered credit card (Indian) and the receipt showed capture card, she just gave me the option that that she has to take the card or cut the card into two. As I also work in hospitality industry I have seen many times such kind of situation, but the way she handled the situation made me feel disgusting. I called the bank and they also said that capture card doesn’t mean someone has to tear the card, actually no one has the right because it is my card and I will deal with the bank, she could have just taken the payment with my another card but she made me feel like I have done something very wrong. The store manager also was very unhelpful, saying what she did was correct. That was not at all expected from rich a reputed store to which I was a loyal customer. If there is a card problem, it’s my and banks problem and the way she told that she just have the option of cutting my card, what kind of hospitality is this? It could have been handled in a much better way. It was so disrespectful attitude towards the customer, as I was coming for vacation I can go the bank and get a new card as the card was issued from india, but what if I was not coming for vacation, because the card will be re issued from india only. I upset customer will make u loose 100 customers that’s what I believe as I also manage a restaurant which comes under hospitality same like you. I just hope such embarrassing moments will not be faced by any other customers in front of everyone, and I hope that the necessary action will be taken against the employees who was so disrespectful. Later I got a call from a relation ship manager of sharaf dj (Mr ali) apologising for the incident but what was the store manager of delma mall doing/he didn’t know how to handle the situation and he was just saying his staff (Philippino lady is correct)
I have no other words left to tell you my grievance towards the store I was so loyal to, I don’t know if u will take action against the people who were wrong, but I would never step in sharaf dj anymore including my friends, I hope your staff will learn at least the basic way of handling a situation, instead of just destroying the customer’s card.
