I booked 2 nos tickets to Mumbai from Bangalore on 22nd January, 2018. While booking it wasn’t mentioned (like in airline ticket) on the website nor on the e-ticket, how much luggage we can carry, nor it was stated that if we carry our baggage in carton boxes we would be charged extra.
Upon arrival we were told that since we packed our luggage in carton box we have to pay ₹300/-. I tried to make sense of what was the issue since we were carrying only 5 kg of luggage in 2 small boxes and there wasn’t any other luggage/baggage, but to no vail. So we paid the extra amount as we dint want to miss the journey.
So, i would like to file a complaint demanding the reason for such non-pre informed conditions. I would also like to demand explanation/compensation for the inconveniences caused because of no proper guidelines or terms & conditions in their website or on the m-tickets/e-tickets they issue.
The invoice no is 836379 & PNR no is 21546404.
Here, i would also like to suggest our honourable court to direct all the private bus operators to state luggage allowances like aeroplanes. A lot many unlawful exchanges happen because of this. People are asked money without bills which results in unaccounted income by these operators for which the state and centre is loosing tax revenue. Moreover, I have also observed unlawful movement of goods since there is no mechanism to track what is being carried in the boxes.
