Toshiba – Poor After Sales Service from Toshiba

I bought a Toshiba LCD TV on 15th August 2012 with a 3 year warranty but the TV panel started flickering in less than a year. I rasied a complaint ticket on 4th August which the service centre closed without resolving my issue. On my re-complaint they opened a new ticket but it has been more than a month and my problem is not resolved. They keep saying I will get a replacement and sent a replacement TV on 1st September but even that was damaged so took it back. Now I have been chasing for my replacement TV and nothing seems to be working.

  1. Dear Sirs I had made a service complaint on 8th January 2014 regarding my Toshiba 42 inch LCD TV. The reference number provided by you is extracted below from your response mail. “Your Reference ID is TIPL/HA/2014/01/08/1993, and you can use your reference ID for further communication. Regards, Toshiba Web Team. ” After repeated mails to you on 16th January 204 one person claiming to be from Toshiba examined the TV and said that the power control board had to be replaced and that it will cost around Rs. 8000/- He did not provide any identification of himself or furnish any service report. Afterwards there is no response from you company. Your call centre is useless. It is now 22 days since I first lodged the complaint and 15 days since your service person visited and examined the TV. Till date there is no response from your company on rectification of the defective television set. Please furnish the details of the action taken by you on my complaint and the time lines in which the defect will be rectified. Please furnish details such as address and contact numbers of your service center in Chennai which is dealing with my complaint.
