I tried to make an appointment after paying an exhorbitant charge (the visa itself is R450 ,vfs charges R1500 , for their “service”. They are basically a post box, but you cant even access the postbox. Their systems are antiquated and unclear. I needed to do a visa application for a few people. The system automatically lumps them together in a group, which apparently you then can’t use the system for, to make the visa appointment. I find out later that you rather have to email brucelukhele at the Pretoria vfs , for him to manually make the appointment to lodge the paperwork. This information is nowhere to be found on the website or on the page where you try to make appointments. The page just keeps timing out, until you lose your mind and start to call VFS, which is a battle in itself because the calls keep hanging up and you can wait for hours to speak to someone. I got hold of someone after 4 hours of trying, to be told this information, that a group booking needs to be manually arranged by the supervisor; Bruce Lukhele who has still not responded to my email after 24 hours because apparently, he gets too many emails. Obviously he is inundate and then to have 1 person doing this job, which is self inflicted, because the moment 2 or more people lodge an application, it becomes a “group” booking. This lack of customer service is inexcusable, and the cost for it is even more so. Problem is they have us by the you know what, because there is noone else. They can do as they please, the complaints are not being directed to the right place, ie Department of home affairs, who are the ones who have tend

Mailed my Documents Including my original passport on 14th of December 2023. upon not receiving any response i called them after a month, then i emailed them regarding this. everytime i call them, they tell me to wait and they always tell there is no record found regarding my renewal process. when i track the Mail from UPS it shows delivered. its been more than 4 months. i need my passport to continue my further immigration process. plz help me, i dont know who to complain or how to get my passport back.
