I got an email from Mamta Chauhan on Wed, 3 Apr, 17:48 (5 days ago), with the contents that they shortlisted my profile/resume i assume from LinkedIn and mailed me to take Round 2 test which was a basic vocabulary test since this company is allegedly based in the US. The third round test was basic python concepts and coding test , there was supposed to be a google meet that was supposed to happen after the 3rd test , which never ended up happening due to “Technical Difficulties” . On Sat, 6 Apr, 18:23 (2 days ago), I get a mail saying I have been selected, somehow with no interviews i got selected with only online assessments.
For the “Onboarding Process” in their company they asked me to complete the last 3 steps which were
PDAC Certification (Python Developer Associate Certification)
Personal information such as my government ID etc.
A Microsoft form to fill if someone needed a laptop to WFH.
This PDAC website basically asked me to pay 9$ for this certification , this was the point that my rose tinted eyes that thought i was going to get an internship finally found something suspicious , when i searched up PDAC nothing came up , there were other certifications by the same acronym but nothing about this exact certification.
After looking up for their address I found they were situated in : 676 Campbell Technology Parkway, Suite 100 Campbell
The important part is that I paid those 9$ for the certification and there is no response from the company about the internship.
The number I paid the 9$ to belongs to Arsh Deep Singh, and the number is: +91 8287121781 .
I have attached an image of the payment I made. And I request a refund of my 9$.
