I had bought a Redmi 3S prime phone on 13 dec 2016 bearing invoice no: 1481601245684946808 and on 27 February 2017, its charging port suddenly stopped working. Since the problem was covered under warranty terms, so I contacted Mi customer service and availed the Mi pick service for which I paid 189 out of my own pocket. ( Inquiry no: 9000041669).
But on 7 march 2017, I got an email from MI stating my phone has water damage which is totally false and they are lying. My phone’s charging port stopped working but my phone wasn’t drowned in any liquid. Also the company is asking for Rs. 6390 which is totally unjustified as the charging port problem is covered under warranty terms and there was no damage to motherboard neither the phone was water drowned.
The MI service center is faking the problem and they just want to cheat me and loat money from me. Now, I want consumer court to kindly intervene in this matter as I am left helpless.
Please be fast in your enquiry as any delay would allow them to damage my phone further.
