I saw this part time job online, so I applied. The instructor told me it was an Amazon online trading platform and it required investment which I have to complete some tasks (trading) before I get paid. So I decided to invest a little amount, 1000naira and I completed two task and got paid back 1900naira. The instructor asked me to invest 2500naira to start new task, I did so. He then referred me to a different instructor, that he was busy and won’t be able to attend to me. So I messaged the new instructor and she told me she was going to arrange some task for me. She gave me 8 task to complete before I could get paid. So I started the task, after the first two task, I was told to make a recharge of 6000 naira to fund my account in the platform in order to complete the next task. So I complain to the instructor and she told me that the program was already fixed and couldn’t be cancelled, that I have to complete every task before I could get paid. So I made the recharge of 6000 naira and did the next two task, I was then told to recharge 15000 naira next as my balance was insufficient to complete the next task. So I made the recharge of 15000 naira and continued with my task. I was able to complete two task before asking to recharge again. At this point I had completed 6 tasks and it was remaining just 2 more task. The next recharge was 33000 naira. So I thought it would be my last recharge since it was just two task remaining. So I made the recharge of 33000 naira and I was able to complete only one task. My last task was doubled to two task and my merchant funds was kept pending, so I complained to the instructor and she told me that the last task is two in one, that it contained two orders and I had to make a recharge of 76050 naira to complete the task. I begged her to release my merchant funds so I could complete the task, she refused and told me there was nothing she could do about it, that the program was already fixed and she couldn’t temper with the program. She even advised me to borrow funds from my friends to complete the task that I would get paid once I complete the task. How can they be so cruel? I have lost upto 56,500 naira and I don’t know what to do to get my money back. The money was supposed to be for my school funds, I am so confused right now.
