I purchased a phone from Awok, and after 10 days, the screen went blank. I called them up to complain about it. They told me that they usually put it for replacement after checking the item because it is less than a month. Their website says that for promotional items, they issue REPLACEMENTS IF THE REPLACEMENT IS WITHIN 14 DAYS.

They took my phone and after three days, they told me that my as per their policy:

Refund can only be processed within 7 days from date of delivery. After 7 days and item is still under warranty, they provide service, and service takes minimum 14 days.

Their website however, states something different. It states 14 days and we get a replacement.

I emailed them and told them that this is unacceptable. However, they just ignore my emails.

This is a typical company who will advertise all sorts of things at a low price and will promise you CUSTOMER SERVICE GUARANTEE. This is my first time ordering from them! I am very DISSATISFIED.

Also, note that you get emails for Flash sales for very low priced items, and when you get to the site, the prices are different.

Also, their site states FREE SHIPPING even when you click the items. After choosing the items, upon checkout it will bill you for shipping!

Then their site also says 12 to 24 hours delivery. Well, guess what, I ordered a wireless headphone five days ago, and until now, I still did not receive a call from them regarding the delivery!

They will get you to trust in the quality of their products and if that fails, no worries! they will replace the item within 14 days! | Well, I got scammed! That’s not true! They will NEVER REPLACE your item, and they will repair it within 14 DAYS, give or take! And who knows what the quality of the repair is going to be???

I have been a victim of a marketing scam! People should be warned! I admit that buying online is a little risky. And customers should share their experiences with each other so they will know the others’ previous experiences.

I have been living in the UAE for 12 years and this is the first time I have been tricked like this! Sellers here are usually careful about misleading their customers.

Clearly, AWOK.COM is taking advantage of people by thinking that consumers are not protected and they can do whatever they want!

We, the customers, must be vigilant. I am sharing this experience to you so you will know exactly what happened to me and save yourself the trouble! You’re better off buying from other sites, or from a retailer or even a third person from Dubizzle. At least they will not promise you non-existent warranty policies!
